Having Confidence in God
**Introduction:**

– **Proverbs 3:5-6** instructs, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This wisdom highlights the peace and guidance we receive when our confidence is rightly placed in God.
– **Hebrews 10:35-36** encourages believers not to throw away their confidence, which will be richly rewarded, underlining the enduring nature of divine promises.
**Examples of Confidence in God:**
– **David vs. Goliath:** David’s encounter with Goliath (1 Samuel 17) showcases his confidence not in physical weaponry but in the name of the Lord Almighty. His trust in God’s deliverance was pivotal to his victory.
